Fewer people are using plastic carrier bags, but what about using fewer bin liners?
Sales of bin liners are thought to have increased because a lot of people now can’t make use of the free (and, until recently, freely available) plastic bags to line bins and keep things tidy.
An easy way to make a more environmentally friendly ‘bin liner’, using old newspapers is showing up on YouTube. We’re not sure its as durable or waterproof as the plastic bin liner, but this could have a place in your living more sustainably ‘tool kit’.
