Recycle Wool for Charity Knitting

Charity Loving Hands has asked for help from Grownupgreen supporters:
“We have discovered that there are tonnes of wool, knitting needles, patterns, toy stuffing, fabric etc all thrown away into landfill sites because people just don’t know what to do with them.

“House Clearance firms and grieving relatives are just throwing them away or burning them which is such a waste. We have been actively contacting these House Clearance firms and asking them to consider keeping these items for u and we will pick them up regularly to make them into clothing and blankets for the charities we support.
“If you have discovered that there are cupboards and drawers filled with craft items and half finished garments – don’t just throw them out – give us a call or an email and we will happily arrange to uplift and reuse what you have – we have members all over the UK so there should be someone available not too far away to help out”.
