Grownupgreen to Develop Discussion Forum

The Board of Projects in Partnership (‘PiP’ – parent charity of grownupgreen) yesterday (14 February) agreed on plans for the launch of a new green forum.

PiP is building on the responses to the ‘grownupgreen summer survey’, which showed a high degree of support for the development of a forum and provided feedback on the sorts of topics such a forum might address.

Chair Dr Jill Mordaunt thanked everyone who took the trouble to take part in the survey and said she was delighted with the move which would enable grownupgreen users to learn about more sustainable living from one another. Dr Mordaunt commented: ‘this will help PiP meet its charitable goals to act as an education resource and encourage debate the merits of various ‘green lifestyle’ choices and consumer products. The PiP Board is really excited about this: it’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time.’

The Board aims to have the forum up and running later this year; and in time will be asking forum users to volunteer as ‘moderators’ on various topics.

Meanwhile comments on & ideas for the new forum are invited and, for now, can be emailed to The Editor of grownupgreen.

The next PiP Board meeting takes place on Saturday 20 June 2009.
